Richard Achee is the Head of Google Enterprise Search – Asia. As part of his role, Richard spends his time with customers and partners to help bring the power of Google Search to organizations across the region.

Richard has over 15 years experience in the enterprise software industry. Prior to joining Google, he held leadership roles at SAP and Oracle in sales, strategy, operations and market development. He has been living and working in Asia for the last 11 years and is based in Singapore.

Dirk Dumortier – VP Communication APAC

Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise

Dirk is currently responsible for the Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Communications Business in the Asia Pacific region and is based out of Singapore. Prior to this position he was VP for Vertical and Customized Solutions and has also spend 5 years in Shanghai where he was responsible for overall Marketing and Communication Product Management.

Dirk has more than 20 years’ experience in Europe and 10 years in APAC. His extensive expertise covers all domains of Enterprise ICT, From Channel Development, Marketing, to Field operations and from IT to Telecom solutions. As a pioneer in Managed Services and City Networks, he has contributed many lectures for various universities and delivered key notes in major telecom events.

Varinderjit Singh – Vice President

Samsung Enterprise Business

Varinderjit Singh is Vice President of Samsung’s Enterprise Business in Malaysia. He spearheads Samsung’s Enterprise Business initiatives for ICT and Digital Appliances, covering Mobility, Notebook, Tablets, Cloud/Thin Client, Printers & Digital Appliances, where the next wave of innovation is expected.

His sales and marketing experience of 23 years makes him a veteran of the IT Industry. Varin holds as a wide range of experience stemming from careers with companies such as Mesiniaga, AMP, 3Com, NEC, and before joining Samsung, Dell. At 3Com, based out of Silicon Valley, USA, he covered the Worldwide Markets. While at Dell, he covered the South Asia Developing Markets, Malaysia & Singapore. His experience covers consumers, SMB and all the way to Large Corporate segments.Varin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from New Hampshire College, USA.

Leon Jackson - Head of Healthcare IT

Universiti Malaya Medical Centre – UMSC

Leon Jackson is the Head of Healthcare IT for UM Specialist Centre (UMSC), a private tertiary care delivery organization owned by the University of Malaya. He is a subject matter expert on Healthcare IT, with 13 years of experience in software engineering and 6 years of experience in the healthcare industry. He heads the IT team responsible for the transformation of UMSC from paper based medical records and processes to a information enabled delivery of care, leveraging the power of IT to improve operations and clinical outcomes – while improving the bottom line.

He is also an active evangelist for the adoption of cloud computing in healthcare, to enable collaboration between various care providers, continuity of care for patients as they move between providers and addressing new markets & opportunities that emerge from these connections.

Daniel Kong - Vice President

Mr Daniel Kong comes with over 10 years of working experience with eProcurement solutions. He currently manages and operates an online SaaS eProcurement Marketplace that has over 2,500 users with over RM450 Million transactions since its inception in 2002. He has managed eProcurement implementation projects for banks, large organizations as well as SMEs to save thousands of dollars in improving their sourcing, procurement and fulfillment processes.

Dr Thirunavakarasu Pathmanathan - Head of Medical Affairs & Quality

Pantai Hospital

Dr Thirunavakarasu Pathmanathan is a graduate MBBS from India and started his career in 1993 where he joined Government Service and served at Hospital Pulau Pinang and Hospital Ipoh. He then went into General Practice in 1998 overseeing Occupational Medicine and was also a Visiting Medical Officer for Plantations.  At the same time Dr. Thiru became a Sessional Lecturer at Monash University Medical Faculty.

Dr. Thiru subsequently joined as Chief Medical Officer in the Prisons Department overseeing healthcare and healthcare services in the Prisons Systems. He was one of the key people in designing a health care flow for prisoners and also led the implementation team in Drug Rehabilitation and Replacement Therapy in the Prisons Systems. After 2 years serving as a CMO Prisons, he then joined Global Doctors and was involved with Medical Evacuation and repatriation and also Paramedic Training.

In 2010, he then join Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur as Senior Manager and Head of Emergency Department where he was involved in MSQH and JCI reaccreditation for the hospital.  He also serves as the Clinical Working Group Chairman for the Phoenix Project, where he oversees HIS implementation across the group.

Terry Burgess  - Regional Director, Endpoint Systems Management

Dell

Terry Burgess is the Regional Director, Endpoint Systems Management for Dell Software Group across Asia Pacific Japan. He joined Quest Software in July 2009, as the Desktop Virtualisation Manager across Australia New Zealand, after an extensive career in software sales and channel management with regional and local firms. Prior to his sales management career, Terry worked in HSBC for 8 years as a Software and Network Engineer.

After HSBC, Terry worked at Attachmate, successfully growing their business as a Sales Specialist across Mid-Range/Mainframe solutions, developing a Channel ecosystem across Asia Pacific and then a Regional Sales Management role. Key sectors for Terry have been Airlines, Financial Services, Telecommunications and Government departments. More recently, Terry worked for VMware working as a Strategic Account Manager across VMware’s largest customers in Australia during the virtualisation boom.

Currently managing the Endpoint Systems Management team for APJ,  this expanding business unit has been doubling its market share, year on year for the last 3 years. Terry has been responsible for the development of Managed Desktop as a Service offerings for Cloud and Hosting Partners. With Dell’s recent exciting acquisition of Quest Software, Dell Software Group is looking forward to further success and growth in this dynamically evolving Endpoint Systems market, across Desktop Virtualisation, BYOD, Cloud Computing and Systems/Application Management.

Yeo Kee Huat - Senior Technical Consultant

Kee Huat is a Senior Technical Consultant with Symantec, having a diverse career in the areas of Security and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) making him a recognizable figure in the industry. Kee Huat has good experience in the oil and gas industry, financial industry as well as in the public sector.

Prior to joining Symantec’s Technical Consulting team, Kee Huat has worked on many large IT security and GRC implementations for various large organisations, affording him the opportunity to gain valuable insight on the other side of the equation; working with customers to identify and implement technology solutions that are mapped to their business requirements.

Khairul Ahmad - Technical Consultant

Samsung

Khairul Ahmad is a Technical Consultant with Samsung Malaysia Electronics. He has over 10 years of industry experience working with MNCs and local organizations. He started his career in information security, providing services and expertise in network security audits and vulnerability assessments. His other area of expertise is high performance computing and software solutions which help find oil reservoirs faster, simulate race car aerodynamics and break encrypted files of wanted criminals.

In Samsung, his area of focus is in mobility and end user computing devices
with the vision of one day everyone’s computing needs will be fulfilled by mobile
devices.

Basil Sim, a veteran in the Business Analytics industry with a broad knowledge of Business Intelligence from more than 20 years in R&D, Support, IT, Sales and Marketing with Cognos. He understands the challenges of consolidating data in a fragmented environment with traditional tools. He understands how hard it is to get the right information to every employee and every customer, whenever they need them. He will outline the data fragmentation challenge the cloud has added to the entreprise, including how unified indexing technology can access, correlate and present knowledge found in cloud-based systems.

Sher Khan - Chief System Architect, Global Delivery

Mr. Sher Khan, aged 40, is taking the role of Chief System Architect under the Global Delivery Group in STRATEQ Group of Companies. Mr. Sher leads a team of system architects and engineers involve in pre-sales and delivery activities relating to IT Infrastructure (server, network, storage, security, system software, etc), including architecting the cloud infrastructure services.

Mr. Sher started his career as system engineer with TIME Quantum Technology, and moved on to Oracle Corporation Malaysia as Consultant for 7 years specializing in Oracle e-Business Suite. He then spent about 3 years in Telekom Malaysia as Solution Manager, before joined SKALI in late 2008 as the Chief Operating Officer in the Data Center business, and later as the CEO in 2010. Mr Sher built the SKALICloud services from scratch and delivered it as the first true public cloud service in Malaysia back in 2010. He then moved on to JARING Communication Sdn Bhd I 2011 as the Head of Value Innovation where he yet again built the JARINGOneCloud service out to market, as the first VMware vCloud Powered service in Malaysia, and the 3rd in the South East Asia region!

Under his belt, Mr. Sher has 18 years of ICT experiences from technical system engineering, internetworking, enterprise applications, project management, telecommunication, business management and entrepreneurship. Mr. Sher graduated with Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information System from University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida, USA in 1995.
